Volunteer Opportunity to help Veterans!
Habitat for Humanity of Fairfield County is working with federal grants to provide housing in Fairfield County for Veterans through the Veterans Build program.  Our group will be working on a housing project that will specifically help a Veteran.  No experience is needed.  Mark Ludwig, with RICOP Construction, will be working to make sure our day is as productive as possible and verify that we have all tools necessary.
What is Veterans Build?  Habitat for Humanity’s Veterans Build is a national initiative aimed at providing volunteer, housing and employment opportunities to U.S. veterans, military service members and their families. The Home Depot Foundation has generously funded critical repairs on the homes of veterans through Habitat’s Repair Corps program since 2011. This program is open to all military veterans, provided they have received an honorable or general discharge, and it is not restricted to any specific veteran groups. While the primary focus of the program is on critical home repairs for veterans, the foundation has expressed their readiness to fund standard repairs on the homes of qualified veterans provided homes with critical needs take precedence.
